I read this book because i went to a book festival where it was introduced. I have to say that i was not intruged at first and did not expect much from the book. But after the first couple of pages it became obvious that the book is special. It is very beautifully writen and the story is great. I had to read the whole trilogy in just a couple of days. Some might say it is a teenager book, but being 26 years old I still enjoyed it very much. I love that it's a dystopian novel that one could relate to from our current situation.Das Buch, auch wenn es als Jugendbuch gehandelt wird, ist definitiv auch was für Erwachsene. Es ist nicht nur toll geschrieben und erzählt eine grandiose Geschichte, Bertagna geht auch auf derzeit kritische Situationen ein. Es ist eine Dytopie, die auf sehr wahrscheinlichen Beinen steht. Ich kann das Buch wirklich jeden ans Herz legen. Die Trilogie hatte ich in wenigen Tagen durch.
Der einzige Grund warum ich dieses Buch gekauft habe war, weil es für den Whitbread Children's Book of the Year Award nominiert wurde. Wie der Guardian schon lobte schrieb Julie Bertagna ein Buch, dass du für den Rest deines Lebens nicht vergessen wirst. Exodus gibt uns einen Ausblick auf die Zukunft, wie sie aussehen könnte wenn wir weiter so selbstsüchtig die Erde ausbeuten wie bisher. Ferner ist es ein Buch über Verlust, Abenteuer, Liebe und Hoffnung. Besorg dir dieses Buch, sag alle deine Termine ab und lies. Du wirst es nicht bereuen.
